The offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride was especially impressed

He has returned 48 kickoffs for a franchise-record 1,321 yards to go with his 41 rushing attempts for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns. When Bradshaw sustained a sprained knee last Sunday to accompany earlier foot problems, Wilson led the Giantsin rushes for the first time with 13. He turned two of those into touchdowns, showing excellent power on a 6-yard effort and the speed that sets him apart on a 52-yard jaunt.

The offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride was especially impressed with the 52-yard run. He noted that Wilson was "able to take what would've been an 8- to 15-yard gain and take it to the house."

Giants guard Chris Snee, in his ninth season, noted how valuable Wilson's game-breaking ability could be at this stage of the long season.

That amounts to an average of 763 ads a day

As the presidential horse race has tightened in Wisconsin, the ad war has escalated.

In the first three weeks of October, the campaigns of President BarackObama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and their supporters unleashed 16,034 ads in the state's five major markets — Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee and Wausau — according to data released by the Wesleyan Media Project.

That amounts to an average of 763 ads a day, which works out to roughly 32 ads an hour. The October total is a 37.5 percent increase over the preceding three-week period during which the campaigns aired 11,655 ads.

The wind picked up in the second half

Until his second goal, the Americans struggled, particularly with the wind in their face on the wet cricket pitch at Sir VivianRichards Stadium. The field was exceptionally tight, too, hindering the Americans' attack.

The wind picked up in the second half, and the footing remained tricky. Herculez Gomez crashed into goalkeeper Molvin James in the 49th and James needed several moments before he returned to his feet, holding his chest and left shoulder.

Taking advantage of that wind, the Antiguans several times barely missed shots wide. But the best scoring opportunities in the late going were by Sacha Kljestan in the 81st and Michael Bradley in the 86th before Johnson pounced.

He fell face down to the ground in the seventh inning getting out of the way of a pitch inside, but jumped right back up, before eventually drawing a walk.

Scott Moore had an RBI single in the second for Houston. Moore drove in Jason Castro, who reached on a wild pitch after he struck out leading off the inning.

Matt Holliday helped the Cardinals put the game away with a two-run single in the seventh. Holliday, who left Sunday's game in the ninth inning with tightness in his back, went 1 for 5 with three strikeouts.

The Razorbacks (1-1) played the second half without quarterback Tyler Wilson

The Razorbacks (1-1) played the second half without quarterback Tyler Wilson, who suffered a head injury after taking several big hits in the first half.

Wilson, who also missed the second half against New Mexico last season with concussion-like symptoms, was 11-of-20 passing for 196 yards and a pair of touchdowns before leaving the game at halftime.

The Warhawkstrailed 28-7 midway through the third quarter before rallying behind Browning. The second-team Sun Belt Conference quarterback from a season ago found Brent Leonard for a 23-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-10 with 55 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 28-28.

Geddert, standing near a curtain separating the media mixed zone

As Olympic coach of the women's team, it's vital that Geddert turns the page as well. He knows that.

"I told her, we're going to handle this with as much class as we've always handled the victories," he said. "There's no excuses."

Geddert, standing near a curtain separating the media mixed zone from the athletes' area, lifted his cell phone to show the messages that he already had received.

"I'm already getting excuses left and right, right here," he said. "There's no excuses. The job's not done yet. We got beat. And we're gong to walk out with our heads held high. And on Tuesday, I think you're going to see her looking for redemption."
